Its funny because I Initially decided to go here because i got the same last name as the restaurant (which is not common) but i did see the reviews before hand and they were all positive. They have the best trifongo ever!! I wish i would've ordered more off the menu but i was full just with that. The flan was also delicious. Loved the ambiance and the music! I cant wait to come back in August!!!
Great spot. Really nice staff (not to be taken for granted in Puerto Rico). Food was solid, traditional, and filling. I guess Guy Fierri is a fan of this spot which is interesting. Would recommend!
I visited this highly recommended spot for authentic mofongo, and it did not disappoint! While the wait was long, the lit atmosphere made up for it. The restaurant was well-lit, packed with people, and even had a jazz musician playing in the corner. Vibes! To pass the time, I enjoyed one of the best piña coladas I've ever had--smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. When the food finally arrived, it was absolutely worth the wait. The mofongo was hands-down the best I've EVER had--flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The service was just okay, but honestly, the food and ambiance made up for it. I'd definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Puerto Rican dining experience!
Old school PR spot, still serves all the classics. I think that Bebos right behind the street might be a tad better (and more local) but still worth a visit.
I can see why this restaurant was featured on Guy's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I love this restaurant! Great customer service and amazing food and drinks! This particular night they had live music which boosted the island feel. I started off with rum punch which truly packed a punch. It was really good! They had an extensive menu that offered a little bit of everything. I ordered the Rellenos de Papa and empanadas. They were both delectable! I recommend this place 5/5!
The roasted pork Mofongo was AMAZING!!! I also had a delicious margarita. Carlos was kind and friendly as well. BRAVO!!!
We saw a line outside and we already knew. It was worth the wait. This is an institution. Great authentic food, great atmosphere and drinks. They were featured on TV with Guy Fieri and they play the video on rotation. Lol. The food is worth all the hype. Get there early to avoid the line. Everyone loved the food and you will too.
